It’s been over a month since we got back from Showcase Ireland but it was a great show for us and is still fresh in our minds. We would like to take this opportunity to thank those that came to see us and showcase some interesting trends that the show brought up.
Firstly the most popular hats for this show were our exceptional patchwork flat caps like H27 and A14 which remain a great mix of style and comfort. We have plenty of Flat caps currently in stock but with them being well sought after it would be a good idea to get your orders in quickly to avoid disappointment.
Understandably with the summer season approaching our sun hats gathered great interest. H88 and A357 in particular got great feedback with large orders placed for these. Sun hats from our children’s collection also made a strong impression. New arrivals like C147 and B91 would be perfect for holidaying or just general wear in the coming summer months.
Accessories were also a popular choice among the customers who saw us. Practical ponchos like PON1 and the children’s CP2 were big sellers to provide a great waterproof option from that inevitable summer rain we all dread. Our final trend was our lightweight scarves from classics to the most recent arrivals such as LS142 and LS147.

We will be waiting at Stand J9
Time flies as they say, because it feels like only yesterday that we were returning from Autumn fair at the Birmingham NEC for our last trade show of this year. But once again, come the new year, we will be packing our bags and loading our trucks for the next round of Trade shows. Next month we will be visiting Dublin for Showcase Ireland.
We will be waiting patiently at stand J9 to help with any ordering or general enquires you may have. With our new Spring/Summer catalogue arriving very shortly, this is also a prime opportunity to get a sneak peek at our extensions of the new Spring/Summer 2016 range as well as getting a feel for our current stock. Along with Dublin we have a busy schedule ahead of us with Visits to Exeter for Giving and Living, plus once again to the Birmingham NEC for Moda and the biggest of them all Spring Fair. Obviously we would love to see you there at any of these shows but those who can’t attend for whatever reason needn’t worry. We will be offering feedback on each show and announcing what our most popular products were in the weeks to come.

As mentioned in previous newsletters, we at SSP hats ended our trade show season at the Birmingham Nec with one of the most important trade shows of the year, Autumn fair. Feedback from this was excellent and showcased some interesting trends.
Firstly, just like in previous trade shows, our newest tweed bags such as LB34 and LB35 were very popular this time round. But it wasn’t just the tweed bags, our current children bags such as LB27 were big sellers this time round and were available at sale prices. Aussie style hats like our newest fedora style AK62 and tweed hats such as EHT2 were also a popular choice, with both being perfect for outdoor working.
Understandably with the weather changing rapidly and the cold soon to bite, many of our customers placed orders for hats and accessories more suitable for winter. Gloves like GM20, ski hats such as A621 and latest additions to our wellies like WF109 were all popular choices.
The most successful range for this season however was our range of faux fur hats. From our new headbands such as AW136 to our wide brims like A322, the mixture of style and practicality was irresistible for some of our customers.
SSP Hats would like to thank everyone who came to visit us during Autumn Fair and the other trade shows this Autumn/Winter season. We always welcome feedback, especially on our newest ranges. Unfortunately this is the last trade show for this year but we will be attending trade shows next year, with announcements soon.

Birmingham NEC was the venue for this seasons MODA event and we were very lucky to attend such a sensational event. We thank all of those who were able to attend and come see us. The event was such a success that we managed to place some very large orders and increase our customer base which is always welcome.
Hat wise some interesting trends came up with the orders placed. Our newest faux fur headbands and pillbox hats like AW130 and AW132 were causing a real buzz over the event, with many customers placing an order of least one type of faux fur hat. With the harsher weather conditions soon to be upon us, it’s was understandable that our Ski hats and Thinsulate range were popular with customers. Other outdoor hats such as our Aussie style hats and flat caps like H91 and H27 were also in high demand.
Accessories also features prominently on customer orders. In particular was our new wellington and tweed bag range. New tweed bags in particular, like LB37 and LB39 were highly favoured. Finally our wide range of gloves like GC5 and GL70 were also consistently ordered.
We will be returning to the Birmingham NEC once again for Autumn fair from the 6th to the 9th September at Hall 4, stand 4E50-F51. If you are able to attend then we would love to see you there, but if not we will be again offering feedback on the event.

With Moda now done and dusted, Birmingham NEC will again be our final destination for the busy trade show season and were ending with the most grandiose of all this year’s trade shows, Autumn Fair 2015. This prestigious show has around “29,000 visitors from the UK and overseas and an incredible 1,400+ exhibitors, Autumn Fair introduces some of the world’s best brands to some of the industry’s best retailers”.
From the 6th to the 9th of September we will be positioned at Hall 4 Stand 4E50-F51, where we will be waiting patiently for your company. This is our final Trade show, so this is really the last opportunity to see for yourself just how high-quality our hats truly are.
From trappers to ski hats, knitted Hats to tweed hats, throughout the event we will be showcasing an assorted array of hats and accessories. All ages will be catered for with our Children’s winter collection and Adult collection on display. Accessories such as Bags, Gloves and scarves can also be viewed and are all perfect for keeping your customers warm over the winter months. Why not check out our new autumn/winter stock, some of which is ready here for dispatch to you.
SSP Hats would like to thank all of those of you who were able to come visit us and view our current and new Autumn/Winter range. We’ve had some wonderful feedback on our differing hats and have had a wide range of orders which are already being processed, ready for dispatch. As with previous trade shows, those of you who couldn’t attend need not worry as we will be offering news on what the best and most talked about ranges at Autumn Fair were this year.

We are delighted that we will once again be attending MODA at the Birmingham NEC from the 9th to the 11th August. Stand O48 in Hall 19 is where we can be found, waiting patiently with our new additions to our Autumn/Winter range along old favourites like our Ski and Trapper hats. We hope to see you there!!!
As we mentioned in our previous newsletter, we are soon packing our bags and heading out on the road attending more trade shows. Our first port of call is Harrogate in North Yorkshire, once called the happiest place to live in the United Kingdom and the host of the exciting Home and Gift show 2015.
From the 19th to the 22nd of July, we will be waiting patiently for your presence at stand Q57, where we will be showcasing some of our new hats and accessories from the Autumn/winter range. We can’t give too much away this early, but these will definitely appeal to a broad range of customers. There’s truly something for everyone. As ever, this is also a great opportunity to get a look and hands-on feel for our great existing stock.
Normally it would cost around £20 pounds to attend this event but we are happy to announce that we can invite you to attend without even having to pay the entry fee. Entry for the event is free for all visitors who pre-register on the website before the show starts on the 19th of July. Trade show attendance
While your mind may be occupied with the upcoming summer season, the Autumn and Winter seasons are not too far away. Here at SSP Hats we are excited to be hitting the road again, attending trade shows across the country and giving a sneak preview of our new 2015 Autumn/Winter range.
From August we will be visiting MODA at the Birmingham NEC from the 9th to the 11th. Come visit us at hall 19 and stand 041. After that we will be returning once again to the Birmingham NEC between September 6th and 9th for one of the biggest trade shows of the year, Autumn fair, where we will be waiting patiently in Hall 4 at Stand 4E50-F51.
First of all however we are off to beautiful Harrogate between the 19th and 22nd of July for the Home and Gift trade show at stand Q57. Like our previous trade shows, this is a golden opportunity to get a true look and feel for our current stock and anything new we may be bringing for the Autumn/Winter 2015 range. As ever we will have our pleasant and helpful team on hand to help you with any enquiries and placing of orders on our excellent stock of hats. Previous trade shows have helped us see what our most popular items are and feedback from you is always appreciated.
We’re raring to go and as noted above, there’s plenty of opportunities to come and see us. We will also be offering updates and feedback about any popular hats, so those that sadly can’t attend a show will still be informed.

SSP is delighted to announce that we will once again be attending the Showcase Ireland trade show which is being run between the 18th and 21st of January in beautiful Dublin. Described as an exploration of “Ireland’s creativity from over 450 exhibitors” and considered Ireland’s top creative expo, the event allow us to showcase our new spring/summer range including the latest fashion hats, knitwear and accessories, a prospect we are really excited about.
We would be delighted if you could see us at stand J9, where you can have a great opportunity to have a good look and feel of our wide range hats and accessories. We will also have friendly staff on hand who are willing to help with any enquiries you may have about our products. Orders can also be placed but there is big demand for some pieces so you may want to get in quickly.

With Harrogate under our belts, it’s time for our ever popular back to back run of Autumn season trade shows. We kick off with the Uk’s highlight of the fashion season, be there or be square show, Pure London 3rd-5th August, Olympia. Visit us in the Grand Hall Gallery, stand Y10 and get your hands on our brand new Hawkins range of handbags, wraps and winter scarves, as well as viewing our new for AW14 extensive additions to the hat range.
Next on the hit list we have an old favourite Moda, back at the NEC for the first time this season (10th-12th August), another fashion conscious show for all the fashionista’s out there. Pop along to Hall 19, Stand O41 where a warm welcome awaits. View our newly re-launched and improved quality wellington boot range in addition to our beautifully designed Hawkins Collection premium umbrella selection.
For the last one in August we are off to the Emerald Isle to visit our Irish Friends at the Citywest , Dublin Autumn Gift & Home show (17-20th August). Find us at stand E20 where a great assortment of this season’s product will be available for you to view.
